Ways to Pay
You can pay for school, and do it wisely. Learn how to find funds,
get grants, earn scholarships and more.
Blue and Gold
Attend UCR for Free
The Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan covers (all!) tuition and student services fees for qualified California residents whose families earn less than $80,000 a year. If you already have partial aid, Blue and Gold can help make up the difference. Some students can even get help with books, housing and transportation.
Earn a Scholarship
Scholarships abound! They can be awarded for everything from special talents and leadership ability to showing promise in your future career. UCR offers many. There’s a high chance you will find one right for you.
Pay in Installments
Deferred Payment Plan
Pay your tuition and fees in monthly installments with our Deferred Payment Plan (DPP). Another great way to relieve financial stress and focus on what matters – like your finals!
Get a Grant
Grants are funds you don’t have to pay back! By submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you are automatically applying for many grants including UCR grants, Federal Pell Grants, Cal Grants (with a verified GPA form) and more. Research grants offered by departments or outside agencies for additional free funding.
Work at UCR
Select from on-campus jobs, earn a paycheck, gain experience and establish a schedule that works well with your studies. In 2013-2014, hourly rates at UCR ranged between $8-$15. If you don't qualify, you can still apply for great on- and off-campus jobs through our Career Center.
Low Interest Rates
When selected carefully, student loans can offer low interest rates and ample time to pay them back. Loans can come from the federal government, UCR, private lenders and more.
